Yalo Conecta: the future: digital and conversational

Yalo hosted its annual Yalo Conecta event in Mexico City on June 14 and 15 at the St Regis Mexico City, a private event bringing together many of LATAM’s largest retailers, financial institutions, and consumer goods companies currently leading digital transformation through Conversational Commerce on messaging platforms, and seeking to enhance their sales and commercial strategies. In LATAM, the majority of the population utilizes WhatApp as their main means of communication. For many, it is their main access point to digital purchasing.

More than 200 participants from companies including Nestlé, Coppel, Coca Cola FEMSA, Alsea, Palacio de Hierro, Farmacias del Ahorro, Mondelez, Sodimac, and Aeroméxico registered to attend workshops, lectures, and demonstrations to advance their Conversational Commerce strategy in 2022. Yalo’s leaders including Founder and CEO Javier Mata and John Stockton ] led the conversation on building deep customer relationships at scale through conversation, a concept they have termed: Deep Commerce.

They were joined by Meta’s head of Mexico, Marco Casarin, WhatsApp’s head of Partnerships, Kyle Jenke, and WhatsApp’s Product Lead, Ajit Varma who spoke about WhatsApp’s evolution in Conversational Commerce, and the role of platforms like Yalo in enabling enterprise success.
